PREPARING FOR TEMPLATE & COUNTERTOP INSTALL

You're seeing this because you’re getting new counters! Here's everything you need to know before template & install:

Before template date:

  • Customer provided sinks need to be on-site for the measure

  • If sink is going to be purchased through Countertop Concepts, please let us know your desired sink so we can communicate lead-time & be prepared for install - click here to view our available sinks

  • Edge profile must be confirmed - click here to see both standard and upgraded edges

  • Countertops need to be completely cleared off and empty to allow template tech access

  • Any cabinet modifications that interfere with countertop sizes need to be completed before template date

Before installation date:

  • Countertops must be cleared off

  • Interfering gas, electrical & plumbing needs to be disconnected, any plumbing or parts the customer wishes to save and reuse need to be completely removed - Countertop Concepts is NOT to be held liable for damage to old or existing items

  • All lower cabinets need to be emptied and the drawers removed

  • Please leave sufficient work space for installers, including walkways

  • Pets & children must be out of the work space for the safety of both them and the crew

  • Long walkways should be covered with plastic or paper (we provide drop cloths in work areas, but if there is new flooring, we recommend that the customer fully protect them with Rosin paper.)

  • Full height tile backsplash should be removed if applicable, CC will remove a single row of backsplash or parts of backsplash in order to be able to remove countertops if demo is involved

  • Full height mirrors that touch backsplash or countertops need to be removed or client should expect a 1/8” gap along the mirror to backsplash

  • If customer has a cabinet that rests on the countertops it should be removed prior to install/demo day - Countertop Concepts does NOT remove cabinetry
